Plan now to come to Québec!

ITS Canada will hold its 15th Annual Conference and General Meeting in the beautiful and historic city of Quebec, at the Chateau Frontenac Fairmont, from June 10th to June 13th, 2012. Our conference is recognized as one of the best conferences in North America to discuss developments and deployments in the field of intelligent transportation technology. In 2011, we presented close to 100 technical papers s on three areas simultaneously. The exhibition brought together more than 35 technology providers so that delegates could discuss their needs and new developments.

Program - Call for Abstracts

In our goal to continually improve our transportation systems, we must be increasingly aware of elements such as sustainable development and social and economic aspects of the solutions we implement, while making sure that we maximize the benefits of our individual investments by integrating systems, data and operations. Today's decisions must take into account these considerations, so that our future transportation systems are smart.

ITS Canada is seeking technical papers and presentations on topics related to intelligent transportation solutions that can address current and future issues and meet the needs of a changing society that relies increasingly on the digital economy. We are seeking abstracts on three main subjects:

  • Explore ITS opportunities offered through digital economy possibilities
  • Optimize transportation systems and technologies for systems and data integration
  • Support sustainable development and tackle greenhouse gas emissions through intelligent transportation systems

These thematic areas will enable delegates and speakers present and provide the opportunity to discuss important issues for all modes of transportation, and discuss current challenges such as systems and data integration, the new world of communications from vehicle to vehicle and from vehicle to infrastructure, asset management using ITS, security, sustainable development as well as economical aspects and benefits of ITS in an era that is increasingly opened and influenced by globalization.

Exhibition

One of several highlights of ITS Canada's Annual Conference is always the exhibition, which provides technology manufacturers/vendors, organizations and consulting firms with an opportunity to display their products, services and expertise. With each passing year, the exhibition provides an increasingly significant contribution for delegates, and continues to grow in both size and popularity. Delegates will participate in plenary sessions right on the exhibit floor, and all refreshment breaks and lunches will be served in the exhibit area.
