Connected Vehicle Interest Group (CVIG)

The Connected Vehicle offers all Canadians great benefits in terms of improved safety, mobility, productivity, environmental sustainability and economic development.  Whether you are a driver, rider, shipper, fleet operator, emergency service provider, infrastructure operator, government, visitor, citizen, cyclist or pedestrian- we can all benefit from connected vehicles of all types, through all technologies, devices, applications and services.

The Connected Vehicle Interest Group (CVIG) has come together to foster the rapid development and deployment of connected vehicles so that Canada can take advantage of these benefits early.  CVIG seeks to do that in a fashion and at a pace that enhances the development of the Canadian economy as a whole and of the development and success of Canadian businesses, professionals, institutions and agencies.

Our membership includes businesses, not-for-profit organizations, universities, and government agencies at all levels.

We are an open collaborative community that encourages everyone to participate in building our knowledge base and in increasing public, commercial and academic interest in connected vehicles. Our primary forum is our website. We invite you to use it as a reference, to responsibly contribute to it, to join in any blog threads that interest you, and to actively participate in our community.

Please check us out and join in.  You can track our postings on Twitter @CVIGwiki or through the Vice Chair’s Twitter posts @ITSCanViceChair
