A primary benefit
of ITS Canada is that it brings networking opportunities to
participants. ITS Canada provides a high level forum for the
exchange of information and ideas in the industry. The opportunity
to meet and discuss issues, review the latest developments,
understand industry direction, and consider future projects
are invaluable to any organization involved in the ITS industry.
Events such as the ITS Canada Annual Conference and General
Meeting provide these opportunities.
ITS Canada’s mission includes providing opportunities, through workshops and conferences, for information exchanges among ITS members, who include ITS users, designers, integrators, suppliers, investors, and decision makers from both the private sector as well as federal, provincial and municipal government agencies across Canada. The Society also provides a national focus for the development of Canadian architecture and standards, and fosters multi-disciplinary partnerships among private and public sectors for the research, development, demonstration, deployment and integration of ITS technologies. Opportunities also exist to represent Canadian ITS industries abroad through liaisons with foreign governmental agencies and ITS-related associations and industries.
