2019 ITS Student Essay Competition

ITS Canada’s Education Committee is seeking applications from graduate students (Masters and PhD) to participate in the ITS essay competition at the 2019 ITS Canada / TAC Joint Conference and Exhibition.  The essay should be based on  applicants  ITS expertise, experience and interests.   This competition highlights the importance of the ITS sector. Recipient candidates must demonstrate their skills and experiences on ITS in general and more specifically with respect to the target themes defined below. 
 
Applicants are invited to submit an essay of 1200 to 2000 words by May 17, 2019. It must describe the applicant’s experiences and knowledge in at least one of the themes from the following list:
 
  • Smart cities and big data,
  • Connected and automated vehicles,
  • Public transportation and new mobility,
  • ITS for planning, environment and climate change,
  • ITS and road safety.
