ITS Canada is pleased to announce a “Call for Nominations” for a special rendition of the 2017 ITS Canada 8^th Annual National Awards Program!

The ITS Canada National Awards Program was originally created to specifically recognize annually Canadian ITS leaders, projects, programs and innovations that have contributed significantly to advancing ITS here in Canada.

This year’s National Awards Program is being conducted in concert with 24th ITS World Congress being held in Montreal, Quebec, from October 29^th to November 2, 2017. As such, and for this year only, the Awards Program is consolidating the number of award categories and the manner in which award winners will be recognized and celebrated. (The National Awards Program is intended to resume its original award categories and gala evening format for ITS Canada’s 2018 Annual Conference.)

The ITS Canada’s 8^th Annual Awards Program will be celebrated during a special segment of the ITS Canada Members Evening being held Sunday October 29^th at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. In addition, award winners will be scheduled during the ITS World Congress Conference to give spot-light presentation briefings of their award-winning projects at the ITS Canada pavilion within the Exhibition Hall of the Palais des congrès de Montréal. 

For this special rendition of the National Awards for this year, there are three distinct award categories:

1. Municipal, Provincial, or Federal Agency ITS Project/Program Award
2. Canadian Universities/Colleges ITS Project/Program/Innovation Award
3. Canadian Commercial/Industry Technology Innovation and R&D Award

Nominations are to be submitted to ITS Canada by the extended deadline of July 28, 2017.  The corresponding Awards Program Nomination Package which includes a guide and all the necessary nominations forms and milestone dates is available at www.itscanada.ca/awards.
