ITS Canada signs MoU with ITS Korea

ITS Korea and ITS Canada’s intentions (hereinafter referred to as ‘two parties’) with this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) are to strengthen and develop the co-operation between ITS Korea and ITS Canada in the field of ITS and future ITS capabilities.
 
The anticipated result from this co-operation is to exchange information and experiences about, development strategies, and technology research and development in order to better support its members and to coordinate on international priorities.
 
Through this Memorandum of Understanding both ITS Korea as well as ITS Canada, take the lead in:
 
  • Facilitating meeting places for suppliers, customers, government and knowledge institutes in order to accelerate research, development and deployment of ITS;
  • Supporting each other’s’ technology research and development in the areas of Smart Cities, CAV, IoT, AI, ;
  • Exchanging information and putting it at the disposal of any interested party via newsletters, brochures, conferences, workshops etcetera;
  • Participating in ITS events; stimulate participation in congresses and exhibitions, workshops, seminars, working programmes, technical visits, etc. to provide the communication platform for enterprises and institutions from Canada and Korea.
 
ITS Korea and ITS Canada shall strive to support each organization’s aim to contribute to the development and sharing of ITS and ITS research & innovation in Korea and in Canada.
 
"Our expectations for the future are that both ITS Korea and ITS Canada will benefit from the co-operation and that our relationship will lead to well organized development of ITS and ITS R&D in both Korea and in Canada"
 
The signing of the MoU was observed by the Honorable Marc Garneau, MInister of Transport.
