ACGM 2018 Opening Plenary Speaker Dr. Sarah Wells, TAC

ITS Canada is pleased to announce that Dr. Sarah Wells, Executive Director of the Transportation Association of Canada will be speaking at the Opening Plenary of the 2018 ACGM.

Sarah Wells is Executive Director of the Transportation Association of Canada, a not-for-profit technical association focussed on road and highway infrastructure and urban transportation.  In this capacity, Dr. Wells fosters a collegial and collaborative network for senior government officials, private sector leaders and industry stakeholders to facilitate sharing and building transportation knowledge. In her career, she has contributed to, and led national transportation research projects and managed the development of numerous publications for transportation professionals. Dr. Wells has also been a sessional lecturer for graduate courses in Civil Engineering at Carleton University.

Dr. Wells is a member of the Board of Directors of the TAC Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to the education and development of tomorrow’s transportation professionals. She is a past President of the Canadian Technical Asphalt Association.   

A licensed professional engineer in Ontario, Dr. Wells earned her doctorate and undergraduate degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Prior to that, she studied Canadian history; she holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.
