The Honorable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, presented Transportation 2030 this morning in Montreal. Transportation 2030 outlines his strategy plan for the future of transportation in Canada. 

The plan is based around 5 themes:

1. The Traveller
2. Safer Transportation
3. Green and Innovative Transportation
4. Waterways, the Coast and the North
5. Trade Corridors to Global Markets

Some of the keywords in Minister Garneau's speech included: lhe launch of a Smart City challenge, catalyze investment in the Internet of Things, smart traffic systems, integrated transportation grids, adoption of zero-emission connected and automated vehicles and investment in infrastructure and trade corridors.
