TERMS OF REFERENCE
Purpose & Vision
- Promote knowledge sharing and capacity building in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) across Canada.
- Foster collaboration between academia, industry, and government to advance ITS education.
Objectives
- Develop standardized ITS curriculum guidelines for post-secondary institutions.
- Create professional development programs for transportation practitioners.
- Encourage student engagement through internships, competitions, and research projects.
Membership
- Representatives from universities, colleges, ITS Canada, provincial transportation agencies, and private sector partners.
Activities
- Quarterly webinars and workshops on emerging ITS technologies.
- Collaboration with international ITS education initiatives.
- Development of an online resource hub for ITS learning materials.
Expected Outcomes
- Increased ITS literacy among transportation professionals.
- Stronger pipeline of ITS talent for Canadian projects.
