  • The Ontario Ministry of Transportation is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to the full systems development life cycle of Intelligent Transportation Systems (from planning, design, development, and implementation, to systems integration, deployment, operation and maintenance).

 

In this role, the candidate will: 

  • provide systems engineering leadership in managing complex Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) software development projects support the development and execution of system life-cycle replacement/enhancement strategies and plans to design and build new system 
  • liaise with internal stakeholders to analyze user/business requirements and translate them to technical systems requirements
  • provide advisory and consultative services regarding equipment acquisition and implementation
  • prepare various detailed engineering standards, program documentation, manuals, technical reports

 

NOTE: The location of the vacancy is at 159 Sir William Hearst Avenue, Toronto. However, pending the results of the competition, consideration will be given to the successful candidate to allow him/her to work out of the following MTO Offices (location will be based on the successful candidate's current home or work address and operational needs).
