McLean, VA, June 18, 2013 − Kapsch TrafficCom North America (Kapsch), a subsidiary of Kapsch TrafficCom AG, today announced it has been awarded a five-year contract by Canadian Tolling Company International Inc. (Cantoll) to supply the next generation technology of its TDMA V6 Interior Transponder for 407 ETR, located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) of Ontario Canada. The total contract value over the five-year term is estimated at $30 million, and Kapsch, through its Kapsch TrafficCom Canada, Inc. affiliate, is expected to begin delivery of the new transponders in Q3 2014

The USDOT launched the first-ever ITS Asset Viewer at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) Annual Meeting and Exposition from April 22 to 24, 2013, in Nashville, Tennessee. The ITS Asset Viewer visually displays the location of ITS deployments nationwide, providing a geographic picture of the status of ITS deployment.
