Saskatoon, SK - February 2, 2016 - International Road Dynamics Inc. (IRD) announced today that the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has awarded the Company a five (5) year Traffic Data Collection Maintenance and Upgrade contract valued at US $4.8 Million

The Call for Papers for ITS Canada’s 19th Annual Conference & Exhibition is well under way. We have already received many valuable submissions and we thank you for your contributions. Due to numerous requests from our partners and participants, the Program Committee has decided to extend the deadline for the Call for Papers to Friday, January 29, 2016.

As part of ongoing efforts to modernize its traffic signals, the City of Toronto has recently issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of a new, adaptive ‘smart signal’ system. Smart traffic signals adjust in realtime to traffic volumes on the roadway, meaning that signals can allocate green time in a way that helps minimize congestion.

ITS Canada Events

It is going to be on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Please circle your calendar. The long awaited sequel to our successful workshop last February will be here and it will be held in the same venue – the Markham Convergence Centre on Warden Avenue just North of Steeles. 

The theme for the 21st annual event is Municipal Government: The Value Proposition. Municipalities are the order of government with the biggest impact on the daily lives of citizens. From waste management to road maintenance to affordable housing, the value of municipal government is the most apparent. This event takes place at the Fairmont Royal York, Toronto, Ontario. 

The first International ITS Summit, on April 5 2016, in Amsterdam, is organized by Connekt. The theme of the International ITS Summit will be: mapping the future of ITS.

The 6th European Transport Research Conference takes place at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland from April 18-21, 2016. The theme of the conference is "Moving Forward: Innovative Solutions for Tomorrow's Mobility"
